The Calculator in Windows 10 the Sequel

The Calculator in Windows 10: the Sequel

I do a lot of research when I am introduced to new things like when I got Windows 10. I have been kind of tooling around in the files and programs and seeing what I like and then checking things out on the net. Well I just finished learning about the differences between the calculator in Windows 7 and 8 and the one in Windows 10. Wow, what a difference. Looking at the one in W8 I felt like Dory in “Finding Nemo” OOO! Pretty! Realize I taught high school math and for the last few years I taught AP Statistics, I love a good calculator!

As good as the W8 calculator is I wonder why they changed it and why delete the Statistics Calculator?

Sometimes it seems like things are changed just to be able to say “New and Improved” but in reality they aren’t really improved. That being said, some people will like the new version and others will want the one from W7 and W8 back. I found some sites that give very good information about the calculators in W7, W8 and W10 and about making a switch back to the W8 calculator in W10.

To date I haven’t changed the calculator in Windows 10 to the classic or anything else. I still use my handheld calculators because that is what I prefer. I taught with them for many years and they are familiar friends but I know that many people will want to have access to the tools they are familiar with and so here is information that I hope will help you.
