Four Directions is an engineering-led technology company in New Mexico. Since 2016 we’ve helped organizations choose, buy, build, secure and run technology that fits their work, on their terms.
What we believe
Technology on your terms
Your requirements set the direction, not a vendor’s roadmap or whatever is on promotion this quarter.
The right platform for the workload
Windows, Linux, cloud and on-premises are each the right answer somewhere. We recommend what fits the work, the risk and the budget.
Security and compliance from the start
Security and contractual requirements are design inputs, not something bolted on before an audit.
Plain answers
If something isn’t worth doing, or isn’t a good fit for us, we’ll say so.
Your environment stays yours
We document what we build, and you keep administrative control of your systems and accounts.
How we work
Every engagement starts with a short conversation about what you’re trying to accomplish and whether we’re the right fit. Work is scoped and quoted in writing before it begins.
Engineers design and build what we recommend, and they document it as they go: diagrams, configurations and the decisions behind them. When the project ends, you have what you need to run it, with us or without us.
Who we work with
- Small and mid-sized businesses that want IT done properly without unnecessary complexity
- Engineering and research firms with demanding workstation, compute and data needs
- Government contractors and defense suppliers that handle Controlled Unclassified Information
- Healthcare organizations protecting patient information
Where we work
Onsite across New Mexico. Assessment, design and most implementation can be done remotely for organizations anywhere in the United States.
What we don’t do
- We don’t certify compliance or give legal advice. Assessors and attorneys do that; we help you meet your obligations.
- We don’t push a platform. If what you have works, we’ll tell you.
- We don’t take on work we can’t support well. If someone else is a better fit, we’ll say so.
